Accessibility
Last updated: August 2026
Plenty of our readers are older, and plenty are managing a health condition. A page that is hard to read is a page that fails them. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
What we build in
- A skip link so keyboard users can jump straight to the content.
- Headings in order, so a screen reader can move through a page by section.
- Text and background colours checked to at least the 4.5 to 1 contrast ratio.
- Buttons and links large enough to hit on a phone, at least 44 pixels on a side.
- A visible outline on whatever the keyboard is focused on.
- Pages that still work when you zoom to 200 percent or turn on larger text.
- Real text rather than pictures of text.
- Product images with alt text that names the product.
- Tables with proper header cells.
We do not use an accessibility overlay
Overlay widgets promise to fix a site with one line of script. They often make things worse for people who already use a screen reader. We fix the markup instead.
Where we fall short
We check our pages with automated tools and by hand, but we have not had this site audited by an outside firm, and we do not claim any certification. If something here blocks you, we want to know.
Tell us about a problem
Email editorial@bpmonitorlab.com and tell us the page and what went wrong. We reply within five working days and we will describe any content you cannot reach another way.
